For our Olympic finale, Wayne, Riley and I headed to Wembley to see the US Women face off against Japan for the the gold medal in soccer. (A big thanks to my great friends who watched Lyla for us!) We were in for an exciting game since there was a big rivalry between the two teams since Japan beat the US in the 2011 World Cup final. We took the bus down to Wembley and were surprised to find that Japanese fans outnumbered American fans by a pretty big margin. But, do not worry, we were there in the very FRONT ROW to cheer the US Women on! So...how the heck did we get front row seats? Luck. We had bought tickets back in the fall when football wasn't selling well and just crossed our fingers that the US women would make it to the final. Overconfident? Possibly. But it paid off!

Front row seats! |

Our seats had these signs to hold up and the crowd spelled out London 2012...so cool! |

Go Team USA! |
The best part about being in the front row was the fact that after the US Women won, Abby Wambach ran over and grabbed our flag, which she then paraded around the stadium as a cape and even
cried into mid-field. Amazing! It was an incredible experience to be a part of history and experience this once in a lifetime moment! Although Riley is left with a very important question...can you be an Olympic athlete in more than one sport? She's aiming for swimming, gymnastics and soccer. I'm proud of her confidence and her big dreams..."
Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." And so ends our Olympics experience. Exciting. Invigorating. Inspiring. Priceless.

As seen on tv. Can you spot us? Megan Rapinoe is running over to grab a flag too! |

After the medal ceremony, Abby pointed to us and said thanks! |
